Progressive also offers Home Insurance, Business Insurance, Boat Insurance, ATV Insurance, RV Insurance, Trailer Insurance, Snowmobile Insurance.
Progressive Car Insurance
Car Insurance is there largest line of insurance coverage. Progressive started as a non-standard insurance company. For the last 20 years they have been transitioning to a preferred auto insurance carrier. Progressive will still write car insurance for drivers with tickets and accidents, but they are more interested in the lower risk drivers on the road. The preferred auto insurance market is where they have experienced the most growth over the last 20 years. For years, Progressive Insurance was on of the most competitive car insurance companies on the market. Not true in the last couple of years. In 2024, in the state of Minnesota at least, Progressive is back to having a competitive car insurance policy.
Progressive Home Insurance
Progressive Home Insurance . Progressive home is still very early in it’s home insurance career. They are definitely still working the kinks out of their home insurance product. In my opinion, the Progressive Home Insurance product is less robust than many of the other home insurance products on the market. They have more limitations on coverage than any other insurance product that our insurance agency works with. The Progressive Home Insurance policy fits best with new homes. Usually 10 years old or less is their sweet spot to home insurance. This may change in the future, but currently this is their underwriting insurance model.
Business Insurance
Progressive is new to the Business Insurance market. So far what they have done with their commercial insurance has been very impressive. Progressive has had commercial auto insurance for a long time. In fact Progressive Business Auto Insurance is #1 in the country for written business. The Business Owners Policy with Progressive is a good policy, well rated and easy to use. Progressive is still growing their product offering. Currently, they are very strong with Contractors Insurance, office insurance, medical office insurance, retail business.
Boat, ATV, Snowmobile Insurance
Progressive is among the nations leaders in specialty lines of insurance. Progressive Insurance is my go to insurance company for Boat Insurance and ATV Insurance. Progressive is easy to quote a policy and easy to service a policy. I also feel their claims is the best in the entire insurance industry.
